My inventive 10-year-old daughter first envisioned The Plats Hoodie™ all-in-on hoodie/face-mask then created the first prototype. We then assembled a professional & talented team with a combined 32 years experience in business, apparel tailoring, custom design and screen printing to provide you priceless peace of mind anytime, anywhere.

Our Beginnings
During the 2020 lockdown and at the height of the pandemic, my daughter and I ventured out for a walk in the neighborhood. We turned the corner to find another family walking towards us. My daughter reached for her mask, but it wasn’t there. Did she forget it? Drop it? She panicked. Thinking quickly, she reached for her hoodie and covered her face. The moment passed and she turned to me and said … “Mommy, it worked, look!” Again, she covered her face with her hoodie. The hoodie had become a mask! Never fumble for a mask or frantically search your pockets again!
Why Platinum Platypus?
My father, the light of my life, gave me a stuffed-animal platypus when I was a little girl. When my father passed in 2014, it was time to pass along my childhood friend to my daughter; she now cherishes the fuzzy, soft and much loved toy as a remembrance of her grandfather.
